I grew up in a strict Amish home in Minnesota, where church attendance was mandatory, and we lived without electricity or many modern conveniences. As a child, I longed to do good and find my way to heaven. When my older brother left the Amish community and was saved through the shed blood of Jesus Christ, I saw the transformation in his life and wanted that for myself. Three years later, at 16, I ran away from my Amish community and surrendered my life to Jesus. God lifted me from the pit and set my feet on solid ground, and now my heart burns to share that same life-changing truth with others.
